Build Along the Way
“I know what it feels like to start before everything feels completely ready.”
What this workbook will help you do
Turn noise into something you can test.
Not magic. Direction. The workbook helps you separate what is real from what you are guessing — then choose one small next step.
◉
Understand what is keeping you stuck
Get underneath the surface reasons and name what is actually happening.
⌁
Separate real problems from fear
Work out which concerns need information, and which are old fear dressed as certainty.
✦
Work through the chaos
Money, time, judgement, readiness and the “what if?” questions — one at a time.
♡
Stop waiting to feel ready
Build evidence through small action rather than waiting for a perfect feeling.
✓
Turn the idea into manageable steps
Reduce the size of the decision until you have something you can actually do.
≋
Make decisions without perfect proof
Use facts, numbers and conversations instead of endless internal debate.
▦
Fit the test around real life
Keep the job, protect what matters, and decide what you can afford to risk.
↗
Build momentum without a dramatic leap
One conversation. One offer. One price. Then see what comes back.
Who this is for
You have an idea that will not leave you alone.
- ✓You have been thinking about it for months — or years.
- ✓You keep starting, then stopping.
- ✓You plan, research, procrastinate and talk yourself out of it.
- ✓You want to find out — without gambling your peace of mind or your life.
The real problem
The problem isn’t the idea. It’s everything that happens in your head just before you act on it.
I know what it is like to start before everything feels certain — the self-doubt, the money questions and the fear of being judged. This workbook is designed to help you turn that mental noise into something you can actually examine.
You do not have to figure it out alone.
You already have the idea
Now give yourself something real to work with.
You do not need a dramatic leap. You need enough evidence to see the next sensible step — one question, one conversation, one real response at a time.
What’s inside
A book you work through — not just read.
The chapters explain the machinery. The exercises get you out of your head. As you go, your answers build into a One Page Plan you made yourself.
✎9 guided chapters
Each ends with one small step.
◎Practical exercises
Write, test, calculate, ask.
◇Optional AI prompts
For reflection, preparation and rehearsal.
▦One Page Plan
Everything you worked out, in one place.
See what you receive →
The ninety days
Small and boring beats big and dramatic.
The workbook does not push you from employed to entrepreneur in one jump. It helps you move through evidence in sensible rungs.
01
Prove
Check one assumption. Have one real conversation. Look for signs that somebody other than you cares.
02
Earn
Make a clear offer. Name an actual price. If money comes, take it as evidence — not destiny.
03
Overlap
If the idea starts earning, let it live alongside the job for long enough to learn what is real.
04
Transition
Only when your numbers and evidence support it. You can also stop on any rung that suits your life.
About Me
The person behind Build Along the Way.
Originally from the Czech Republic, curiosity took me first to Germany, then back to Prague in the Czech Republic, and eventually to the United Kingdom. I wanted to experience different places, learn languages and understand how people live and work. I arrived in England with no English and built from there.
I spent twenty-one years in London across large companies and creative agencies, working with talented teams and eventually running major accounts in a language I learned as an adult. I also completed a university degree in psychology, business and marketing while working full-time. Today I am based in the Cotswolds, work as a business partner in financial services, build digital projects of my own and founded Build Along the Way.
I have started a few things over the years. Some worked. Some did not. Every one taught me something I could not have learned by thinking about it for another year. I also know what it is like to hesitate for a long time before starting something that matters.
That is why this workbook is practical. I am interested in helping you get clearer about what you actually want, understand what has been keeping you stuck, and take a sensible action that gives you real information. Not magic. Direction.

No “quit your job” promise. The point is to find out whether the idea deserves a bigger step — safely enough that you can still think clearly.
A note from the person behind it
I built this for the stage where you are not ready for a dramatic leap — but you are ready to stop circling the same questions and start getting real information.

Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use the interactive workbook on your own devices, together with any companion materials described on the sales page at the time of purchase.
2. Payment and delivery
Payment is completed through Payhip and its payment providers, including Stripe where applicable. Build ALONG the Way does not collect your complete payment-card details on the landing page or inside the workbook.

If the access email does not arrive, check your spam or junk folder first. If it is still missing, contact hello@buildalongtheway.com for help.
3. Workbook responses and local saving
Workbook responses are stored only on the customer’s device when the customer chooses to save them. No server-side backup or cloud synchronisation of workbook answers is provided.
This includes exercise answers, reflections, notes, One Page Plan content, 90-day planning content, 25 Questions answers, chapter completion, progress information and AI prompt-builder entries.
You are responsible for downloading and securely keeping personal backups of work you want to preserve. Build ALONG the Way cannot restore locally stored answers that are lost or deleted.

You may clear your locally stored responses and work through the workbook again from a fresh copy. Loss or clearing of local answers does not by itself remove a valid purchase entitlement.
4. Personal-use licence
Your purchase is for your personal use. You may use the workbook on your own devices and print or save personal copies where the product provides that function. You may not resell, redistribute, publish, share paid access with another person, or use the workbook as commercial training material for others without written permission.
5. Immediate digital supply and cancellation
The workbook is digital content and/or a digital service that may be supplied immediately after purchase. Where applicable law permits a statutory cooling-off or withdrawal right to end once digital supply begins, the checkout provider may ask you to expressly request immediate supply and acknowledge the legal consequence of doing so.
Nothing in these Terms removes statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights that may apply where digital content is faulty, materially not as described or otherwise does not conform to applicable legal requirements.
6. Educational and self-coaching nature
The workbook is educational and self-coaching material. It is designed to help you reflect, test assumptions and explore whether entrepreneurship is something you genuinely want to pursue. It does not tell you whether you should start a business, leave employment, invest money or make another significant decision, and it does not guarantee a particular commercial, financial or personal result.
7. AI tools
Optional Ask AI exercises create prompts locally in your browser. Build ALONG the Way does not automatically transmit those prompts or your workbook answers to an AI provider. If you choose to paste information into a third-party AI service, that service’s own terms and privacy practices apply.
8. Third-party services
The customer journey may use third-party providers such as Payhip, Stripe, Supabase, MailerLite, website hosting providers and optional AI services chosen by you. Their services are subject to their own terms and policies.
9. Updates, availability and access
While this workbook remains supported, meaningful updates to The Idea You’ve Had Since… are included with your existing purchase. You will not need to buy the same workbook again simply to receive those updates. This does not mean that future separate products, courses, programmes or services are included unless they are expressly described as included.
There is currently no fixed expiry date for an active purchase entitlement while the workbook service remains supported. If your access has not been used for more than 12 months, Build ALONG the Way may temporarily deactivate it for security or account-management purposes. Where practicable, we will contact you beforehand. If dormant access is deactivated, email hello@buildalongtheway.com and we will help you reactivate it.
Build ALONG the Way may maintain, improve or change the workbook over time. When a meaningful update materially changes the workbook or adds something new worth returning to, we may contact customers with information about what changed. If access arrangements materially change, reasonable steps will be taken where required by law.
10. Liability and consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. Nothing removes or restricts statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
11. Governing law and international customers
Build ALONG the Way is operated from the United Kingdom. If you are a consumer in another country, mandatory consumer protections that apply to you may continue to apply despite any UK-law provision.

1. Do I need to already have an idea?
It helps, but no. A sense of restlessness, curiosity or a feeling that you want something different is enough to begin. The early chapters are designed to help you explore what the idea might be and what is actually pulling at you.
2. Do I need to be ready to start a business?
No. The point of the workbook is to help you decide whether entrepreneurship is genuinely worth exploring before you make a bigger commitment.
3. How long does the workbook take?
There is no deadline. You might work through it over a weekend, over 10–14 days, or take longer. You can also step away and return when you are ready.
4. Can I work through it more than once?
Yes. You can clear your locally stored responses and work through the workbook again from a fresh copy. Your answers reflect where you are now, so returning later can be useful as your thinking changes.
5. Will the workbook be updated over time?
Yes. While the workbook remains supported, meaningful updates to The Idea You’ve Had Since… are included with your existing purchase — you will not need to buy the same workbook again to receive them.
Updates may include new exercises, tools, improvements or clarifications. When a meaningful update materially changes the workbook or adds something worth returning to, we may contact customers with information about what changed. Separate future products, courses, programmes or services are not included unless they are expressly described as included.
6. How do I get access?
After a successful purchase, an access email is sent to the email address you used at checkout. Access is provided through a secure passwordless or magic-link system, so there is no separate password to remember.
7. What if the access email does not arrive?
Check your spam or junk folder first. If it is still missing, email hello@buildalongtheway.com and we will help you.
8. Does my access expire?
Your purchase is a one-off purchase, not a subscription. There is currently no fixed access expiry while the workbook service remains supported.
If your access has not been used for more than 12 months, we may temporarily deactivate it for security or account-management purposes. Where practicable, we will contact you beforehand.
If that happens and you want to return, email hello@buildalongtheway.com and we will help you restore access.
Your purchase gives you a personal licence to use the workbook; it does not require you to maintain a subscription.
9. Can I use the workbook on more than one device?
Yes, on your own devices. Your workbook answers and notes are stored privately in the browser on the device you are using; they are not stored by Build ALONG the Way and they do not automatically sync between devices.
If you want your existing answers on another device or browser, download your private backup and restore it there. Keep your backup somewhere safe. Your thoughts and responses remain yours.
